VALENTINES DAY

Month of February is such an exciting period for high school and college students. Though its the month without any holidays, everyone is enthusiastic. Everything around the city seems very romantic with Cafe Coffee Day's ad- "A lot can happen over a cup of coffee" and Prince jewellery's hoardings- "Platinum- For lasting love relationships." Some are in high spirits to express their love to their sweethearts for the first time. And for some, this might be the time of renewing and refreshing their love with gifts, greetings, bouquets and much more.... Even the oldies have their own past memories of their college days, which brings a sweet, warm feeling(though they might not show it out). Its a season of "LOVE" and celebration.
Archies and Expressions are busy importing special and new collection of teddies, greeting cards, key chains, posters and florists hunting for red roses and recently restaurants have joined introducing "Valentine's lunch" for the lovers. And for those who are in love- It seems that the earth has suddenly transformed into Heaven.
Why most of the love marriages which started so green and serene, is now ending up in divorce? The lovers who increased the revenue of Airtel, by talking for hours together before wedding, could not talk straight face to face after few yrs of marriage. Instead they have found a new mode of communication- through children. For eg.,

Wife : Ask your dad to get some snacks and fruits.
Husband: Cant your mom go and get it.. she sleeps the whole day!!!
Wife : Then what is your daddy for? an office going robot? (temper increases)
Husband: Instead of sitting in front of TV, your mom can walk till the market.. Atleast that will reduce her weight.
Wife : Ask your dad to tell this to your grandma(husband's mother). She rolls like a pumpkin...
Husband: (BP has already shot to 130/180) Ask your mom to shut up... else... (switches off the TV remote and gets out)

And remember the whole conversation is between the child and dad, child and mom. That poor, innocent little creature, at first wonders... and after few months it gets totally used to it that it silently goes to play with her barbie doll.

Recently I got an sms. It is very interesting....
BEFORE WEDDING
HE : I waited so long for this.
SHE: Will you ever want me to leave?
HE : No, Never.
SHE: Do you love me?
HE : Yes I did, I do and will do.
SHE: Will you ever cheat me?
HE : I would rather die than do it.
SHE: Will you be with me always?
HE : Sure, That's my pleasure.
SHE: Will you hurt me?
HE : No way.. Please dont think so.
SHE: Can I trust you?
HE : Ya!
SHE: Oh.. my dear!

To know AFTER WEDDING, read this conversation from bottom to top.

What's the reason behind the whole scenario?The LOVE which was once blind is now wide open to see the faults. The beaches and parks which was once cosy is now a place of endless fights. I tell you- The so called LOVE has lost its flavour. Why? Because, our LOVE is imperfect and is based on lot of expectations. It is not constant, and withers out when troubles and pressures creep in. Our love is not sacrificial, but selfish. It doesnt want to give, but want to get.
Then... what is TRUE LOVE?
Bible says- Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude; does not seek its own and is not provoked;thinks no evil; it does not rejoice at wrong doing, but rejoices at the truth. LOVE bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. LOVE never fails.
True love should have all the above said qualities. Only God's love has all these features. Though we sin and rebel against Him, He is gracious to forgive and love any number of times. Even the best of earthly love- the mother's love fail to meet all the above expectations. No human love can come up to this mark
Irrespective of who you are and what you are, Lord Jesus loves you and He is willing to make you His child and love you all the more. Will you yield your heart and soul to Him?
As Alfred Tennyson puts it- "Men may come and men may go, BUT I go on forever", people whom you love will come and go. When they come, it will be warm, fine and happy. But, when they leave, its hurt, pain and scar.
But this Jesus will always be with you and love you. He'll guide, guard, talk, soothe and be with you at all times. All relationships have a limitation. But its not so with Jesus. This Jesus gave himself on the cross and died for our sins,as sin is the barrier between man and God. If you believe this Jesus, he'll free you from all sins and will be your everlasting love and companion.
I invite you to experience this wonderful LOVE. Wherever you are, please pray this small prayer- Loving Lord Jesus, I believe that you died for me on the cross for my sins and thus you exhibited your love for me. I need your love and want to be your child.
The more and more you grow closer to this loving God, you'll possess the quality of TRUE LOVE. You'll become a source of LOVE to all those in pain and need and thus spread God's perfume to this terror stricken world.

FUTURE

This is the most exciting, but sometimes the frightening word that we pronounce almost every day. The first time i heard this word was when my mom put me in the school, irrespective of my crying. I complained that she was too cruel, and she told that its for my future. In school, when multiplication remained a nightmare, i was not allowed to escape as it was for my future. Even after getting older- working hard, saving money, learning many new things, disciplining everything had the word FUTURE.
And today almost all the banks have started chasing us to plan and invest for the future. It seems that they are more concerned about our(their!!!) future. They have come up with such accurate data, that after 30 yrs, during my retirement, I'll need Rs. 55,000 to support myself. And they threaten us and project in such a way that future will be a real question, unless we invest in their scheme.
With lots of IT companies coming up, we live,work, talk, save and think only for future. And that's the reason we do not bother much about missing our everyday breakfast, sleep, our kid's first word, wife's birthday and much more...
All the versions of FUTURE mean a happy and comfortable living for us and our children in the years to come. Almost all of us get worried about the 'future death' , and that is shown by the flourishing insurance companies offering various attractive schemes for both father and kid, mother and father, family together etc., unleashing the maximum probabilities possible.
When so much can be thought and done for future, have you thought of your life after death?????? some of you might have.. And the common statement with which we are satisfied is - If you do good, you'll go to heaven, if you do harm, you'll go to hell.
Come on! let's be logical. Touch your heart and say if you are really good... Do you think you are worth to inherit that eternal happy home called heaven? By the slip of your tongue, you may say so. But if you sit to think about yourself, in another 5 mins you'll hate yourself. Dont feel bad to accept this truth, because each and every human being is so. What is eternity? The life that has no end... Can you imagine that life which goes on and on and on and on........??? If i say that the eternal life is compared to the number of sand in the sea shore, then one grain of sand is our LIFE. And now, tell me, do you think that you are worth going to that happy, eternal, joyous kingdom called heaven which is the home of the most holy, glorious God, just for being good at times??
NO.. DEFINITELY No one is worth entering into it. Then what is the way? JESUS is the only way. For us to enter into God's holy place, we need to be holy and righteous. To make us holy and righteous, God took all our sins on Him, that we may become holy and righteous. If only you believe that, God himself, in the name of JESUS came into this world, and took away your sins on the cross, and accept Him as the master of your life, you'll enter Heaven. Else your eternity will be in hell where fire burns you all over.
Now the decision is yours. This decision not only affects your short future in this world, but also your eternal future. Please welcome this Jesus into your heart and enjoy a secure and happy future. God bless you.

The Oscar and The Slum Dog Millonaire

Millions around the world eagerly waited for this glorious day. Especially the crew of Slumdog Millionaire including Danny Boyle, A.R.Rahman, Resul Pookutty, Dev Patel, Frieda Pinto, child stars Azharuddin, Rubina and many more... We all as Indians felt proud  and our hearts skipped a beat when the film's name was pronounced for the best picture award. Our hearts melted and tears flowed out, though we didnt put any effort for such a glorious outcome. NDTV showed the praying lips of the people of Mumbai Slums..Rahman telling - All thro my life I had two options to choose - hate and love. I chose love and that's why I'm here. Ah!!! what a short and sweet talk.. 

And I  ..  for a second imagined myself on that red carpet.. and my name being called out.. and myself with a grin walking on to the stage ..... SHHHHHHH...  Its the pressure cooker in my house whisled and stopped me from climbing too high...Oh.. what a wild dream...

Will i ever have such an opportunity as a normal house wife.. Do i have the qualification to dream atleast,,, NO...No... 

But I know in a more grander and grandest oscar my name will be called out and I'll be cheered by millions and billions of people of the whole universe where I'll be given a everlasting crown of glory.Dont think I'm crazy and please dont look into my profile.. I am not  a film maker, nor a singer , nor a model, nor a scientist.. 

But , My dear friend, There is going to be a grand awarding  ceremony for each one of us- whether we make movies or not, whether we sing or not. Believe me. I'm not kidding. Whether u be a school student or a driver or a millionaire or a house wife you have a grand crown for your life. Our creator and Master - God himself will deliver with his own hands to each one of us. The word of God says- Behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. 

Will it be given to me? Yes! BUT ONE CONDITION..- If you are the Child of Jesus Christ

Just a moment close your eyes and think - what all the works of yours can be rewarded by God and pleasing in His sight..... think...think more...  More than all the good deeds,... bad words, evil looks,   crookedness and lies dance in front of us..

 So.. what to do? Am I to lose  that honour? 

No.. Not at all..

All your sins and evil can be just rubbed away in no minute so that your life can be like a pure A4 sheet.. Is it possible?    Is this all true?

Yes.. Yes.. It is possible..

All you have to do is - To believe that creator and Master Lord Jesus Christ. He can cleanse all your sins whatever magnitude it may be. He bore all your sins on Him 2000 years ago and He is waiting for you to accept His pre prepared salvation. He is a loving God. He has shown his love by taking the consequence of sin on Him.  He loves you.

Word of God says- If we confess our sins , he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Its very simple as it sounds. Wherever you are now , close your eyes and  from the bottom of your heart offer a small prayer asking Lord Jesus Christ to forgive all your sins and come into your heart to help you lead a pure life. Surrender your whole life to Him  and ask Him to take full control of your life. He will be your friend, guide and a father and will be with you today, tomorrow and forever more.

Now if u have done what I've said.. u are 100% sure to get the grandest reward from Our God , the Creator. It's the grandest of all the previous oscars and the future ones. God bless you.
